Rumour has it, that the The Endless River, which is being released after 20 years of dead silence by this british band, is solely a tribute to Richard Wright and their old pal Syd Barrett.

The sad demise of Richard Wright, in 2008, may be the reason why we may be getting the rare section of the 20 year old recording sessions from The Division Bell. On 28 March 1994, this album was released and since then we got nothing from the band. Most of the fans had lost hopes for a new Pink Floyd album to ever come after that. But, Pink Floyd, critically David Gilmour, released the info on the internet that there'll be a new album around the corner of the year, particularly, in October. The song High Hopes on the The Division Bell, had mixed responses from the Pink Floyd fanatics, but this song maybe somehow linked to this new album's various songs, as the lyrics of this song end with chants "The Endless River". The Division Bell had been recorded alongside Richard, and this is surely a tribute to him.

Pink Floyd had written a dedicated album(see Wish you were here) as a tribute to their founding member, Syd Barrett, who apparently reached for the secret too soon and left the band midway, before Pink Floyd had become what they are today. There’s a huge debate on this, but we can leave that aside for some other day, cause the reality we shall never know; there’s a reason why we’re fans and not stars. David Gilmour, surely knows how to be grateful and that's the reason, he has always been an inspiration to so many budding musicians.

The list of the songs to be included in the album will be out shortly, and we’ll be able to deliver it to you. Stay tuned to this blog till then!

Pink Floyd to release upcoming album 'The Endless River' in October

The English rock band, Pink Floyd, known for its special psychedelic music, has announced on its official website the release of its upcoming album The Endless River.
The Endless River, even if they are not together.
Complete Pink Floyd may not be releasing it. But all that have shone away as crazy diamonds, still remain in our hearts.

According to the sources, Pink Floyd confirm that the album will hit the market in the month of October (2014). The tracks in the album will mainly be ambient and instrumental. Pink Floyd has done lots of experiments in the past when it comes to playing instrumentals. For instance, Money by Pink Floyd featured the unambiguous sounds of coins, machines and what not. The last highly appreciated album by Pink Floyd was The Division Bell and they just re-issued the album after it completed its 20 years this year. The re-release of the The Division Bell was done recently and has special 180 gram double vinyl. The music in The Endless River will be based on the 1993/1994 Division Bell sessions which feature David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. After Richard Wright's sad-full demise in 2008, it is believed that David Gilmour is releasing this album in remembrance of Richard. The album is produced by David Gilmour with Phil Manzanera, Youth and recording engineer Andy Jackson.

The first instance of this news was given by Mrs. Gilmour, formerly known as, Polly Samson on her twitter account. The tweet gave an early review and has able to give fans the adrenaline rush they had ever wanted.
Here's a sneak peak we found on the internet.
